Power Lead tweaks? Empty Power Lead tweaks?

I cant help noticing that on the Akurate range, the power leads have ferrite rings.. Now my Majik CD player does not have these. Should it? or is it supposed to be like that?

Try swapping a ferrite one for your current one and see if it makes any difference..
